Location

In real estate terms, "location is everything".  Founded in 1987, New Heights is
located on a heavily traveled highway in Ringgold, GA.  We are in exactly the
place The Lord wants us to be.

History

From the roots of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church (established in 1895), New Heights
came of a need for a larger facility.  The facility was built through the hard work
and dedication of many church members and their families.  The Lord worked
numerous miracles in bringing the building to completion.  Tom Crews, the church's
first pastor, retired shortly after the building was put in service. 

We believe in the infallible Word of God, and that the Bible is His Word
spoken through the Holy Spirit to the many authors of the books.  We
believe in the divine intervention of God in our every day lives.  We believe
that God knows each of us by name, and that He desires to see each of us
serving and worshiping Him.  We believe Jesus is the Son of God, born of
a virgin, in fulfillment of the Scriptures.  We believe that Jesus' blood
washed away our sins, and that the only way to Heaven is through
accepting the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for each of us personally. 
We believe a person must be "born again" in order to attain salvation, and
that salvation does not come through works.  We believe in serving our
community, our nation, and our world so that the message of the Savior
may be known through all the lands.
